The iCall PIR motion sensor uses infrared technology to trigger an alert when body movement is detected within the range of the infrared beam. The PIR Detector is an alternative solution to the floor sensor where a PIR beam may be more appropriate. It is also an excellent facility to give patients the freedom and safety of their own room whilst still proactively giving the caregiver advanced warning of any patient at risk of falling if they attempt to wander from their room.
The iCall PIR is most effective when mounted at a door or at the bedside. When the patient moves into the range of the infrared beam it will activate the nurse call system prompting the caregiver to ascertain the patient’s safety. This wireless kit if offers a cable-free solution, allowing greater flexibility of the PIR Detector which can be placed anywhere around the room within the range of the Wireless Reciever.
Nurse Call System Connection or Standalone System
Compatible with many leading Nurse Call Systems, the iCall Range can be connected to a nurse call system through the iCall Wireless Receiver for centralised activation, or used on its own, independent of a nurse call system to give localised alerts through the built-in alarm sounder on the receiver. The volume can be deactivated for silent in-room operation when connected to a nurse call system.
With many Care and Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Hospice’s that have a central nurse call system, the direct connection into this will allow the nurse call system to be triggered allowing simple and quick reaction from care staff.
The standalone option is ideal for home users and when triggered the signal is sent directly to the iCall receiver sounding the built-in alarm to warn the caregiver.
Pairing
The iCall range has been designed with a simple pairing system to make it as easy and quick as possible to get set up and ready to use in any environment. Available with nurse call connection cables to suit most leading call systems.
Once the iCall devices have been paired they only transmit to those devices and will not interfere with other iCall Receivers or devices in use nearby, allowing for multiply systems to be set up throughout care and nursing homes.
How to Use:
Once the PIR Detector has been paired with the iCall Wireless Receiver, place the detector into the desired location. When the patient steps within the range of the PIR beam the system will then send a signal when activated. The alarm on the receiver will then sound (if set to do so) or if connected will trigger the nurse call system.
